FLEX SEAL OPINIONS

Flex Seal Flex Seal Flex Seal is a new rubber sealant that looks promising and claims to make easy work of all those leaks and cracks around the house.

Does it actually work? I wanted to find out. First of all, how does Flex Seal work and what can you use it for? Basically, its rubber in a can. If something has a crack or is leaking, just spray it on to create a water-tight seal. So if you have a leaky roof, gutter, plumbing, or container its an easy, instant fix.

My first response after watching the commercial was but its black! Clearly you dont want a big black splotch on everything youve fixed.

Then I watched the ad again and saw that it can be painted over. Thats good news! You can match it to whatever surface its on.

I guess that wouldnt matter in a hidden area like a gutter, but it does matter in something like an attractive ceramic pot. If you were to peel it off, it would be a solid, flexible piece on its own. Its been my experience that some products are thin and messy, never really solidifying to seal the leak.
